REUNION DATE SET FOR 2012 !!!!!

Well, the day is fast approaching - The date has been set: October 6, 2012. We'll be having the reunion at the Irvine Hilton Hotel in Irvine, CA, located across the street from the Orange County/John Wayne Airport. If you are traveling from out of the area, don't worry about renting a car unless you plan to do other traveling!

The day beforehand, on Friday, October 5th, John Andrews will be hosting an informal golf tournament, for those who enjoy the sport, or even if you don't! :-) Please plan to come early, play a round of golf on Friday, and party into the night on Saturday! Dress code for the evening reunion will be dressy casual, so guy, no ties!!

For those of you who want to take in some of the local shopping, cultural or entertainment, the hotel is just a few minutes away from many well-known Orange County locations, including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, as well as the following things to do and places to go:

FORMAT:

Golf will start at 1 pm on Friday, Oct. 5th.

Stroke play, no teams.

This is an executive (not regulation length) golf course with 5 par 4's and 13 par 3's. Par is 59.

Longest hole is 291 yds, and the shortest hole is 89 yds.

Pull carts only - no electric carts.

Clubs available for rent for a nominal fee. This is not included in our package price.

PRICE INCLUDES:

18 holes, pull cart, small bucket of range balls, prizes (long drive, one on front nine and one on back nine), closest to the pins (3 on front nine and 3 on back nine). Also included is a full buffet lunch starting at 11am.

WHAT ELSE? Go to the Great Reunions website NOW and write up your biography ("Bio Book") of the last 45 years to be included in our complementary (with each paid ticket) reunion book that will be distributed AT the reunion for free to all attendees, along with uploading or sending in a current photo. However, since it is impossible to guess the number of people who will pay at the door, their bio books will be mailed approximately one week after the reunion. THIS IS THE ONLY FREE BOOK WHICH WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO ANYONE, SO THE MORE PEOPLE WHO WRITE UP THEIR BIOGRAPHY AND UPLOAD A PHOTO, THE BETTER IT WILL BE!!! IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION TO GREAT REUNIONS, YOU WILL NOT BE IN THE MEMORY BOOK!!!

(This book will be available for free to attendees. It will be available for sale to non-attendee classmates only after the reunion.) With a sufficient number of attendees, a photographer will take photos at the reunion of attendees and candid shots during the reunion, and a book of those photos will be available FOR SALE following the reunion to all classmates. HOWEVER, in case we don't have a large enough crowd, the only photos that are guaranteed to be available will be those provided to Great Reunions ahead of time in the BIO BOOK.

RAFFLE !!! Please know that there was no pad in the cost of the Reunion ticket price for door prizes, favors or anything extra. All of this will be coming out of someone's pocket. To defray costs, we will be selling raffle tickets during the reunion for raffle prizes, so please plan on supporting the classmates who are making this reunion possible at that time. CALLING FOR RAFFLE PRIZE DONATIONS: Ideas - gift cards, services that can be used from out of state, wine, dinner coupons for a nationally available restaurant, gift baskets, etc. Please put on your thinking caps and lets have some really creative prizes to give away!
